Hipsters are modern day Hippies
Thursday, April 23rd, 2009I’m sure I’m not the first person that has said this but Hipsters are like the modern day Hippies - though the term ‘Hipsters’ came about in the 40’s BEFORE Hippies roamed the earth.
I’d imagine Hippies in the 60’s/70’s were just as annoying (and probably as dirty) then as the Hipsters today. Hippies were probably not as pretentious though.
See the thing that boggles me is we probably all longed to be just like them (Hippies & Hipsters) but were either too ’smart’ or lacked courage and spirit.
