Mai is short for my real name Maya, a nickname coined during my days as a radio dj.

Mai sounds like “MY”

“MY” is also the short form for Malaysia – the country which I hail from.

I’m diplomatic, a monkey and conceived to diplomatic parents in Moscow Russia. Nine months later I was born cesarean in Petaling Jaya.

I have lived in 6 different countries on 3 different continents spread over a 23 year time period. The latter 6 years of my life (to-date) I have been living in my motherland of Malaysia.

My first love is music and I have an unhealthy obsession with cats
