Sometimes you have dreams that are absolutely awesome because you went all out and lived like a rockstar (and survived) … but sometimes the awesomest of dreams is “cuddling” with your rock star desire. So the Mister and I were watching this “Guide to London” tourist type video (imbedded on a street map??). I thought “Damn he’s so married but can’t hurt to snuggle up to him – it’s cold, maybe he’ll appreciate the body warmth.” So I did and our hands touched under the cover and they just layed there still…. appreciating one another’s company – not saying a word to eachother (and no hanky panky either!) It’s that damn cheesy scene in T4 that probably brought this on..plus the very much desired mountain of heavenly greens… ooh

I’ve hit a writing bug – not because I can’t but because I keep forgetting or suddenly get lazy. This is what age does to you – in all aspects. You get lazy faster physically as well as mentally. As you can see, I’ve moved servers from Wordpress.com to Wordpress.ORG and on to Jacques’ RichSnail server. Thanks BIL! I now have more flexibility to mess around with css, style, html etc..etc…

The other day I watched the most excellent ANVIL: The Story of Anvil. It’s such a heart warming, hilariously sad and triumphant rockumentary. I think I’ve heard of the band ANVIL in passing but never really heard anything by them (back in my cock rock loving days). There are so many bands that once played to stadium packed arenas and are now rockin out to small clubs/pubs. True rock n’ roll spirit right there. The bromance in that movie made me all teary eyed too. There  were times that it made me question the realness of the movie (ie – turning the knob up to 11…like really?) but in all excellent and highly recommended. It’ll tug at your heart strings regardless of whether you’re a metal fan or not. I have qued to watch Heavy Metal in Baghdad next – can’t decide whether it’s something to watch socially or alone.

Mai! Oh My!

… how I’ve longed to write in you. I have so much to tell you. Nothing of the soap opera nature unfortunately!

Here’s something I don’t usually do. I watched not one but TWO movies in the cinema this week. A heavily censored “I Love You, Man” which I loved, man – and the highly anticipated but somewhat of a let down – Angels and Demons.

Right now I’m checking out a couple clips of LIARS performing at Coachella 09′. What a sexy band. Can’t quite explain the sexiness though. Listening/watching them is all kinds of sexy.

I’ve been eating all sorts of food lately. Since my quitting smoking I have gained a new taste bud – the kind of bud that likes EVERYTHING. I’ve been wanting to tell you about the CHURROS I ate at One Utama and the buritto style maki rolls at Pasta Zanmai. Speaking of food, I made a decent effort at homemade burger patties. They were quite the yums. My cooking has ascended from just cous cous salad.

The weather has been hotter than usual. I think everyone was getting sick when the heat was ON. But now – albeit still hot – everyone has gotten use to it.

I’ve been ‘promoted’ to the advanced kickboxing class now. It’s my 2nd month (4th class). It’s quite tough and feels a little bit like boot camp. It’s all worth it after the hour and 15 minutes is up though.

Well I finally did it – I bought my own domain at http://www.MaiOhMy.com so if you go to that link you will find the exact same page you are looking at I will get around to tidying up the look of the page with the messy categories, links etc… I also need to figure out if I can change around the actual feel to this page. Templates are nice and easy but not very flexible. It feels good to have an outlet to write again though.

Earlier today Space Cadet Bling and I were having lunch and we talked about something I can’t quite reveal right now – I don’t want people stealing our idea. But it has to do with a certain Middle Earth legendarium – after all – a certain older gentleman called this person ‘the greatest traveller and huntsman in this age of the world‘ and I do need company

I jump blog names like LOST jumps from time to time. Speaking of LOST – OMG I’m so excited to see the season finale! Just waiting for it to download.

I just booked my lodging whilst my stay in London this July. I decided to stay at the SMART RUSSELL SQUARE HOSTEL – it’s a tad further away from Hyde Park than my original choice (Smart Hyde Park Inn Hostel) and also a tad cheaper plus it’s got POD BEDS.. SCORE! May not be your choice if your tall but I’m not and I like my privacy so double score!

I feel more at ease now I know I have something booked. Rooms/beds are selling out like Green Day ! (oh no I didn’t)
