Chicken is doing much better! I am still giving her meds just to be safe but now I have to sneakily mash it in with her wet food. So far so good but I think she suspects something is up! Never underestimate the cat!  When I got back from the vet she was hissing at me and at Bully. Of course Bully had no idea what was going on or why her sister was so pissed. Everytime she tried to get near, Chicken would hiss and she would look at me, her eyes wide with a very confused ‘look’. Finally that night Chicken decided she’d sleep in my room on my bed and at 2 a.m. I saw her curled at the bottom corner with Bully not too far away and her paw stretched out ‘almost’ touching her. It was actually quite sweet. But enough about that!

Today I went for high tea with Ben at the Tonka Bean in Impiana KLCC. I didn’t go for my KB class earlier cause the red tide was high and well…. I feel guilty eating so much and at the rate I’m going how am I ever going to lose any weight to look good in time for Rosie’s wedding in October! BUT – no popcorn at the movie theatre later when we all watched WATCHMEN. And if you’re hear wondering what I thought about the movie (and never having read the comic  wabefore) – it was pretty good surprisingly. Long and a bit confusing in the middle. Acceptable gore and Rorschach was badass! Too bad for censorship in this country though.

Thank goodness for the bank holiday Monday! Kee-rist I am tired but weekends are the time I can sleep real late catching up on TV shows (bless torrent) and wake up when I want to wake up! 3 day weekends allow me to do so even more so bless bless bless!

My poor baby Chicken (the cat) has been acting different recently. I came home yesterday and she was fine up till about dinner time when I noticed her acting a little ‘off’. I suspect she may have been the culprit who vomitted in the kitchen. I also saw this wet – bile-ish stuff in the living room which could have been her doing as well. I hope she’s okay. She’s not as playful (I even did the string test!). And this morning she didn’t eat her food. She tried I think but walked away after maybe the first bite. I tried force feeding her some water but she kind of squirmed. When I held her to feed her some water, she just felt weak for some reason. She looks fine but I know something is up :-( Call it motherly instincts! Well I’m taking both her AND her sister Bully to the vet today for a long overdue checkup!

I just came back from picking up the pet carrier from my sister’s place. Went back to my place to drop the carrier off and to check on Chicken. She was sitting on the same spot when I left the house this morning. She did slowly walk towards me when I entered my apt but usually she will be waiting for my by the door when she hears me rustling with my keys. Also, when I picked her up to give her cuddles, she felt kind of limp.  :-(

On the topic of cats – I saw the sweetest video ever. The song by Kimya Dawson makes it 10XX touching. Seriously.

I went for kickboxing class at TNT today. Saturday classes feel more laid back but at the same time they are more intense and personal. I cancelled my gym membership the other day too. I told them I was moving out of the country for 6 months (absolute lie!) Well it’s 175 less to worry about each month! If it wasn’t raining so damn much right now and if there weren’t so many damn kids swimming in the pool at my condo all the time, I’d probably frequent swimming more. But who am I kidding? There have been so many times I’ve looked out at the pool and there was no one swimming and no sign of rain. Maybe I should get a housemate. There are a few advantages to it:

  1. Rent money
  2. Someone to look after my cats when I travel
  3. I’ll have more of reason to leave my house (translation: I’m a freak about personal space and need to get away from them – whether it be a driving distance away or a short walk to the pool for a swim)
  4. Someone other than my cats to talk to :-|

I’m also not very big on committment so maybe a short term rent time of about 6 months.

So here’s an interesting article I came across the other day http://blogs.wsj.com/digits/2009/02/27/books-and-music-that-make-you-dumb – basically it’s Facebook data that this guy Virgil Griffith used and took to do some kind of charting/scanning about the favorite bands and books among students of various colleges (presumably in the US) and plotted them against the average SAT scores at those schools. I can’t seem to access the guys actual website but I did manage to save the image of the chart for “Music that makes you dumb

Music that makes you dumb

I’m sure these results will somehow reflect how everyone will enter their ‘favourite music’ data in effort to appear smarter. My theory on this is not about how smart a person is academically but rather how easily influenced they are by the media. Media is non-physical torturous way of BRAINWASHING. With the right marketing and PR – you can make any asshole popular. I admit – I was academically challenged during my school days and my SAT score is too embarrassing to share. Musically however, I would be on the higher spectrum of that chart. Also, I know a handful of folks of whom scored high on their SATs but would fall on the lower spectrum. Of course, if you were super smart, you would probably have no time for Facebook cause you’re out trying to find a cure for cancer.
